My husband and I namely Peter and Lorna Jones of Pwllheli North Wales, UK, Were involved in the purchase and dismantling of the Polar engine in 1973 on Vanessa Ann FD 133. and have several Photgraphs of her at Lowestoft, at this time. Would like to contact Andreas Grylla about this.

my father sammie teggarty rescued a dublin trawler the loch lein in a gale in about 1960 and towed it into greenore in carlingford lough
is this the same trawler
i would be keen to know more as i am compiling i history of my father at sea
he passed away in 1981

Have just bought a silver pocket watch inscribed W.MARSHALL/ S.T.Stoic/ To Commemorate 10th JULY 1917. Could this be connected with the ST Stoic sunk by U boat?

Jim still runs the Bosun site which looks after the Sail and Steam era. This site that i look after is for the Motor vessels.

Hi Alan, Its been a while since i have visited the “Bosun’s Watch” and what a surprise i got, I was going to show my nephew some photos i had sent to Jim’s site the Bosuns Watch, but it seems that you are the now Proud Owner of the Fleetwood Trawlers site.

Has the old Bosuns Watch (and the photos) gone. I used to sail out of Fleetwood in the early sixties and still get nostalgic at the Trawler photos.
