Hi,I was on the Boston Sterling when she ran aground in Loch Broom.I was a decky learner at the time,it was only my 2nd trip to sea,It didnt stop me from going back to sea as im still working on the fishing trawlers now.Im on the Arctic Warrior at the moment.I enjoyed my time on the BOSTON STERLING.She was a very good sea ship until she ran aground and sank. Its so nice to see a picture of her.Thank you, shaun wray.

bad memories of shooting in a force 11 soth of barra head with a french”fishing master” took a sea up the ramp whilst towing and flooded the accomodation and stopped the engine (in the night)managed to get started and brought her head to wind whilst the PROPER skipper brian macavoy took over and got rid of the water.we laid to in the tyree passage for 3 days as we withdrew our labour(packed our hands in)until mr frenchman was gone
we went home and aired our greavances at bostons office and were told that brian was full time skipper with no frenchman.
went down to sail and a new deck crew had been signed on(old ones sacked) and a little frenchman climbing aboard!!! i went back home then –goodby stirling!
